By EJ Holland – Texas Analyst

O’Neal is a versatile defensive back that excels as a free safety but can also play cornerback and nickel back. He is extremely athletic, has great natural instincts and is capable of making acrobatic pass deflections and interceptions even when caught out of position. O’Neal plays with a lot of fire and passion for the game. He is a natural born leader that can spearhead a defense with his play on the field and energy off of it.

Areas of improvement:

O’Neal is still very raw. While his ceiling is high, he needs to continue to work on his hips and technique. He often relies too much on his athleticism, which hurts him.

Alabama, Baylor, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M and others.

Additional info:

O’Neal earned second team all-district honors after recording 86 tackles, four pass breakups and two interceptions as a junior.
