NUC Sports High School Football Rankings Ultimate 250
Athletes that made the Regional Rankings (East, Midwest, Southeast, Southwest and West) are worth one point towards team recruiting rankings. The players in the NUC JUCO Top 25 are worth a half point.
Now that all the State and Regional Rankings are done it’s time to release the NUC Ultimate 250; the Top 250 high school players in the nation. Every athlete that makes the Top 250 will receive an additional half point towards team recruiting rankings. The 31 5-Stars will then be awarded another quarter point towards team recruiting rankings.
So a 5-Star is worth 1.75 points towards team recruiting rankings. An NUC Ultimate 250 player that is not a 5-Star is worth 1.5 points towards team recruiting rankings. Athletes that made their respective Regional Ranking but not the NUC Ultimate 250 are worth one point.
In Version 1.0 Texas leads the way with 33 members in the Ultimate 250. They are followed by Florida (31), California (27), Georgia (22), Ohio (12), Louisiana (11) and Alabama (10).
A look the positional breakdown sees that defensive linemen lead the way with 51 members; defensive tackles and ends all fall under defensive linemen. Next up are defensive backs (48) followed by offensive linemen (45), wide receivers (33), linebackers (29), running backs (20), tight ends (11), quarterbacks (8) and athletes (5).
The college with the highest point total will be ranked #1 in team recruiting rankings. All ties in team recruiting rankings will first be broken by who has the most regionally ranked players. The second tiebreaker is the number of Ultimate 250 commitments. If two teams are still tied after this then they will both have the same recruiting ranking.
Players are listed in alphabetical order by first name. The NUC Ultimate 250 will be updated one more time prior National Signing Day.
