College football is finally here as #12 Charleston Southern pays a visit to the Fargodome to take on #1 North Dakota State in the Third Annual FCS Kickoff. The game will be televised on ESPN this Saturday at 7:30 ET. This will be the first meeting on the gridiron between these two schools.

Charleston Southern made it to the FCS Quarterfinals last season before bowing out to Jacksonville State 58-38. They will have a tough task in trying to take down 5-Time National Champion North Dakota State. The Bison have gone 48-4 at home over the last six seasons.

Both squads like to pound the ball down the field controlling the clock. The Buccaneers averaged 215 yards rushing a game while NDSU ran for 236.7 yards per contest.

The big difference for both squads is the fact that the Bison defense returns eight of their top nine tacklers from last year and they only allowed 104.5 rushing yards per game. That being said the Bucs return seven of their ten leading tacklers from a season ago.

Offensively the Bison return Easton Stick at quarterback. He went (8-0) as the starting quarterback filling in for Carson Wentz. Stick has his two leading receivers back and his four leading rushers out of the backfield.

Charleston Southern will have a new signal caller at the helm in 2016. But they are loaded in the backfield returning their top three rushers.
