2016 NUC Sports High School Football Top 250
Now that version 2.0 of the State and Regional Rankings are done it’s time to release the final NUC Ultimate 250; the Top 250 high school players in the nation. The 350 players that made Regional Rankings are worth one-point towards team recruiting rankings.
Every athlete that makes the Ultimate 250 will receive an additional half point towards team recruiting rankings. The 39 5-Stars will then be awarded another quarter point towards team recruiting rankings. Players in the JUCO Top 30 are worth half a point.
In the final version Texas leads the way with (33) members in the Ultimate 250. They are followed by Florida (30), California (28), Georgia (19), Louisiana (14) and Ohio (14).
A look at position the breakdown sees that defensive linemen lead the way with (61) members; defensive tackles and ends all fall under defensive linemen. Next up are offensive linemen (41) followed by wide receivers (37), linebackers (35), defensive backs (28), running backs (16), tight ends (11), athletes (12) and quarterbacks (9).
The college with the highest point total will be ranked #1 in team recruiting rankings. All ties in team recruiting rankings will first be broken by who has the most regionally ranked players. The second tiebreaker is the number of Ultimate 250 commitments. If two teams are still tied after this then they will both have the same recruiting ranking.
Players are listed in alphabetical order by first name.
